I’m Lizzie, founder and lead designer of The Art of Violets.

Through fate and a little luck I found floristry - that’s how I prefer to look at it anyways. After nearly a decade in the corporate world, I stumbled very suddenly into flowers. It’s probably the closest I’ll ever be to falling in love at first sight. I spent my first year in this industry freelancing and learning from other established artists in my area and officially launched The Art of Violets (AOV) in 2019. What a wild ride it’s been!

Violet is a namesake nod to my late grandmother who spent years growing violets. Like her, I find working with flowers cathartic. The name Violet has stuck with me for years and always felt right - in fact, my first furbaby is named Violet too!

When I’m not dreaming in flowers, you’ll find me lounging alongside my doggos and partner with a dirty martini in hand with extra bleu cheese-stuffed olives.
